Types of aircraft
The location
Piacenza-San Damiano Airport (LIMS) is a historic military infrastructure located in the municipality of San Giorgio Piacentino, approximately 15 km south of Piacenza, in a strategic position close to Milan and well connected to northern and central Italy.
Immersed in a context rich in history and aeronautical tradition, it represents a suggestive and exciting location, offering a rare opportunity: to land and visit a military airport equipped with a 2,500-meter long asphalt runway.
The airport offers infrastructure and large spaces, ideal for a major aeronautical event. Among the main services and facilities:
- Over 5,000 m² of exhibition area, perfect for presentations, stands and demonstration activities;
- Large areas for parking for aircraft and cars, ensuring easy access for all participants;
- Conference room, for meetings, conventions and institutional presentations;
- Certified Avgas, Mogas and Jet A1 refueling.
The Aeronautical Historic Heritage Valorization Unit is also active at the airport detachment, committed to the restoration and return to flying condition of historic aircraft, adding further cultural and technical value to the location.
